Case 1: YG412 Solves Drilling Difficulties in Narrow Sites for Small Mines in Peru
Client Background
This is a medium-sized mining company located in the Andes Mountains of Peru, mainly engaged in non-ferrous metal mining. The mine features narrow roads and limited working platforms.
Construction Challenges
The rock here is moderately weathered with medium hardness. Drilling spots are close to slopes, leaving no room for large equipment. The client’s former down the hole drill rig was too wide to pass through the narrow transport roads frequently. Its low drilling speed also greatly held back mining progress.

How to Choose the Right DTH Drilling Machine

- Rock Hardness: For rocks with medium or lower hardness, such as limestone and sandstone, choose the YG412 dth boring machine. For rocks with medium or higher hardness such as granite and basalt, YG420 is the better choice.
